Cole Palmer did not attend Chelsea training on Tuesday as he continues to recover from a groin injury. In a dramatic twist ahead of the Blues' clash against West Ham last week, he was removed from the starting line-up just moments before kick-off. Enzo Maresca later admitted that the England international has been carrying the injury for quite some time.

On Tuesday, reported that Palmer was absent from the Blues' training session as he is still recovering from the groin injury that kept him out of the West Ham clash. It is, however, claimed that the attacker's knock does not seem to be too serious and the club are just making sure that Palmer attains full fitness ahead of their upcoming Premier League clash against Fulham this weekend.

After a thumping 5-1 win over the Hammers last Friday, Enzo Maresca allowed the player to take the weekend off. Palmer visited the Notting Hill Carnival on Monday with friends and family.
