Niclas Fullkrug has left Borussia Dortmund as he is on the verge of completing a move to West Ham.

The Bundesliga side announced on social media that the Germany international has left the club's training camp in Switzerland and he is now set to initiate talks with West Ham over a possible move to the Premier League.

From their official X handle, Dortmund wrote: "Niclas Fullkrug has left training camp in Switzerland on Saturday morning. Borussia Dortmund have allowed the striker to leave for talks with another club."

earlier reported that Dortmund are demanding a transfer fee of €30 million (£25m/$33m) for their star striker. The sum includes €25m (£21m/$27m) upfront, with an additional €5m in add-ons. The Hammers, meanwhile, had made an initial offer of approximately €25m, including bonuses.

With Fullkrug now seemingly on the verge of signing for them, the Hammers will aim to add aother midfielder to further bolster their squad ahead of the 2024-25 season. They have been linked with a move for Manchester United's Scott McTominay, although are yet to submit a formal bid.
